Defining oneself is perhaps one of the most complex exercises when creating a portfolio to introduce your work. In fact, most people just update their reel and basic information and let others decide based on appearances. Talking, explaining something about yourself, requires a level of intimacy that some may not have when working behind the camera.

 

I'm Anna. It's obvious that I love cinema and stories—no one would work in such a tiring and emotionally demanding field if they didn't.

 

Communication and storytelling are things I've tried to escape my whole life, in the pursuit of something easier. But life isn’t supposed to be easy; it's meant to be fulfilling. So I am embracing all the stories I’ve written and hidden, all the photographies I’ve taken and never shown. I’m opening up about who I am: a photographer, a writer, a storyteller, and assistant director and, in a future, a cinema director.
